Description

Cenovus Energy, Inc. is a Canada-based investment firm that is focused on the oil and gas industry. Its objective is to advance technologies that reduce the amount of land, water and energy. Its operations include oil sands projects in northern Alberta, which use specialized methods to drill and pump the oil to the surface, as well as natural gas and oil production across Alberta and southern Saskatchewan. Cenovus Energy Inc., also has ownership in two refineries in the United States as part of a 50/50 business venture with ConocoPhillips. The Firm has a 50 percent interest in their Wood River in Illinois and Texas refineries and ConocoPhillips has a 50 percent interest in certain Cenovus oil sands properties, notably Foster Creek, Christina Lake and Narrows Lake.
