Premier Farnell plc markets and distributes electronic, maintenance, repair and operations products and specialist services throughout Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The Company�s subsidiaries include Premier Farnell UK Ltd, Farnell InOne GmbH, Newark Corporation, MCM Electronics Inc, Akron Brass Company and TPC Wire & Cable de Mexico SRL. The Premier Farnell Group consists of two divisions: the Marketing and Distribution Division (MDD) and the Industrial Products Division (IPD). The MDD comprises five businesses involved in the distribution of a range of electronic components and equipment and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products into commercial, industrial and public sector markets throughout Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The Industrial Products Division (IPD) comprises businesses supplying high-performance products to specialist industrial markets, predominantly in North America. In July 2012, the Company acquired Shenzhen Embest Technology Co Ltd.
