The Royal Bank of Scotland has agreed to pay $100m (�61m) to a trio of US regulators to settle civil allegations that the bank broke sanctions relating to Iran, Sudan, Cuba and Burma.
HOUSEHOLD spending in Scotland remained higher on transport than on housing fuel and power, newly released figures have showed. Expenditure on transport remained the highest for Scots despite housing costs overtaking transport in the UK as a whole.
