HSBC agrees Brazilian sale for $5.2bn as profits rise
HSBC said it has agreed to sell its Brazilian business for $5.2bn, as Europe's biggest bank by assets announced a 10 per cent rise in profits for the first half of the year that comfortably beat analyst expectations.
