DBBM originates and underwrites loans, while its DB Mortgage Services affiliate handles servicing and asset management. The company specializes in loans backed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the FHA, and secured by multifamily and commercial real estate, including affordable housing, student housing, senior housing, hotels, and office, retail, and industrial properties. DBBM is a part of Deutsche Bank's Commercial Real Estate Group. Ranieri Real Estate Partners agreed to buy DBBM in 2011 for an undisclosed amount.
