Like the River Jordan that touches the lives many people, so too, Jordan Industries (JII). JII is a holding company that fosters a range of businesses. The conglomerate opens up a financial channel for capital expansion, which would otherwise elude businesses relying on their own assets. Operating through Jordan Specialty Plastics, JII's subsidiaries include Beemak, a maker of point-of-purchase plastic displays for brochures. Safety reflectors for bicycles and commercial vehicles are made by Sate-Lite. Deflecto produces plastic injection-molded hardware and office supply products. Formed by The Jordan Company, JII is held by David Zalaznick and chairman and CEO John W. Jordan II, each with stakes of about 20%.
