Through rain, sleet, or snow, the US Postal Service delivers. And through enemy fire, sandstorms, or host country censorship, the Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) delivers, too. An extension of the US Postal Service, the MPSA delivers mail to and from Department of Defense personnel and their families around the globe. It moves mail on commercial and military aircraft and commercial sealift vessels to nearly 2,000 military post offices located in more than 85 countries. MPSA acts as the DoD's liaison with the USPS, conducts DoD contingency planning, and provides postal support to theater combatant commanders through theater postal commands.
