Even the hardiest citizens of the Intermountain West need access to a reliable power supply. Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems supplies power to 52 member municipal utilities primarily in Utah, as well as in Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico, Oregon, and Wyoming. These municipal electric utilities and other local government units provide retail electric or other utility services in their respective service areas. The company obtains electricity from interests in generation facilities and through power purchase agreements with other generators; Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems also has interests in traditional power transmission facilities, and in wind power generation plants.
