The company produces fuel, radiator, and oil filler caps, as well as gaskets and seals. Other products include thermal products such as thermostats and thermostat housings. The company also makes testers used to measure radiator cap pressure, fuel cap leakage compliance, and engine vacuum pressure. Stant sells to automakers and aftermarket retailers. Tomkins sold Stant to Miami-based private equity firm H.I.G. Capital in 2008. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and emerged in 2009.
