"The more the merrier" has proven to be a flexible business formula for rubber materials and elastic textiles manufacturer The Moore Company. The company's five manufacturing divisions stretch into a diversity of goods including tricot and satin wrap-knit elastic fabrics and narrow elastic for active wear to intimate apparel, plastic components used in boat manufacturing, separators for making batteries, and thin gauge rubber calendered elastics (elastic tape, thread, and rubber sheeting). The Moore Company operates through Darlington Fabrics, Fulflex, George C. Moore Company, Amer-Sil, and Moeller Marine Products. The family-owned company sold its ZED Instruments division to Swiss-based Luscher in 2004.
