Waste not, want not seems to be the aim of LondonWaste. Practicing its three Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle), the company diverts waste from landfills by providing recycling, composting, and energy generation in North London. Operating from three London sites (Edmonton, Islington, and Hendon), LondonWaste offers waste management services to residences, businesses, and public authorities in seven boroughs. The company processes more than 1 million tons of solid waste per year, but doesn't just dump the trash. It recycles glass, metals, wood and other materials, then burns whatever else it can to produce energy via its waste-to-energy power plant. LondonWaste is owned by the North London Waste Authority (NLWA).
