Saints be praised! St. Luke's University Health Network (formerly St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network) provides care in the Lehigh Valley. The health care network operates six acute care hospitals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including St. Luke's University Hospital, St. Luke's Allentown, St. Luke's Quakertown, and St. Luke's Miners. Founded in 1872, the health system has a total of about 1,000 beds and a staff of about 1,300 physicians. Other operations include outpatient and urgent care facilities, rehabilitation and surgery centers, nursing homes, and home health and hospice services. St. Luke's also offers medical training and has cooperative care agreements with other area providers.
