Sony makes the TVs so why shouldn't it make the TV shows as well? Sony Pictures Television (SPT), part of the entertainment arm of the consumer electronics giant, is one of the leading producers of television content. It creates series programming such as Breaking Bad (which airs on AMC), Damages (FX Networks), and Rules of Engagement (CBS). SPT also produces and distributes such syndicated shows as Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, as well as daytime dramas Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. In addition, it oversees a 35% stake in the Game Show Network (GSN) cable channel. SPT is a unit of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE).
