The company services all major plate markets including service centers, bridge fabricators, railcar manufacturers, heavy construction machinery and material handling equipment, mining equipment, storage tanks, pressure vessel, and shipbuilding. It produces somewhere near 500,000 tons per year and sells its products in Canada and the US. In 2007 Russian steel company Evraz bought Claymont Steel Holdings, which was the publicly traded parent company of Claymont, for $565 million. Evraz then changed the names of both companies, adding Evraz.
