2007's competition: 'My Future' Theme
Last year's winning doodle, by Claire Rammelkamp
of Bristol Brunel Academy
In 2007 we asked entrants to create a Google Doodle around the theme 'My Future'. Whether technological advances, visions for the world, personal ambition, or something entirely different, we asked entrants to design a doodle around how they imagined the future. The results were extremely varied, and each design demonstrated a unique, personal hope for the future.
Over 60,000 doodles were created for the contest, and Claire Rammelkamp's winning doodle (right) took on a popular subject: the enviornment. Dennis Hwang, the original Google Doodler, commented on how beautifully it demonstrated the choice we all have, as we consider the future of the planet.

Future Fantasy
Statement:
In the future we will have space rockets to replace cars because exhaust fumes damage the environment. Scientists will develop fuel that doesn't harm the air and nature. Our houses will be cleaner and greener! I will walk or ride on my bike to cut down on exhaust fumes.

This or This?

Our actions today can determine how we live in the future. Which would you rather see in 100 years' time; a polluted wasteland, or a thriving utopia? The choice is ours. Be recycling and using renewable energy sources we can keep our Earth beautiful.

Global Melting
Statement:
What I have tried to achieve with my doodle is to bring the reality of global warming to a personal level and into your home. If everybody took responsibility for their actions instead of leaving it for somebody else we could take a step forward to Stop Global Warming.
