The Google Content Network reaches over 23 million users in the UK, or 83% of unique web users, and it is still growing. The most recent Christmas season (October - December) was especially strong for shopping comparison sites on the Content network.
The following graphs show how the UK's leading shopping comparison sites performed in 2007, tracking their performance on Content against Search. Over 2007 these sites acheived an average cost per click of just £0.06, compared to £0.10 in Search. Impressions reached the 1.3bn mark per category leader - that's five times more impressons than on Search, demonstrating Content's tremendous value as a tool for driving brand awareness online.
Of course, none of this is possible without investment - but as the fourth chart shows, the category leaders achieved these results at a fraction of the cost of their search campaigns.
